Angela Webb
Angela is a Scottish architect turned artist living and working in Warwickshire.
Her subject matter is diverse, underpinned by a keen draughtsmanship and executed with an expressive style. The creation of a balance between abstract values, energetic mark making and realism has become her signature. The observation of life, light and colour are her constant inspirations.
‘My goal is to enjoy the sensory qualities of paint. If I am successful, my collection of marks and paint strokes come together to convey air, colour, light, atmosphere; the moment.’
She works mainly in oils, charcoal and mixed media and also has a growing interest in printmaking. Her subjects are broad ranging; from figure work and portraiture to still life and landscape.
She regularly takes part in art festivals and Open Studio events.
