Katy Binks
London based artist Katy Binks expresses her unique style through a powerful visual language of colour and form. Katy is a multidisciplinary artist who is known for her bold printmaking, immersive murals and bright textile design. Colour is a key part of her practice, combined with a love of architecture to create energetic site specific artwork.
“I’m interested in the spaces between print, object, painting and installation, and the way artworks can operate on all these different levels. The space I’m working in (or on) always has an impact on how the finished work looks. It’s always site specific, because I always respond to what already exists around me.”
Katy has a globally recognised style. She graduated with an MA in Printmaking from the prestigious Camberwell College of Arts and her groundbreaking approach to printmaking is more akin to painting than traditional edition-led printmaking. She regularly collaborates with top brands, architects and interior designers.
Inspired by the diverse community around her, from the African fabrics found in South London to her formative years spent in Korea. Katy’s work is as bold as it is ambitious and it is reflective of her ever changing lived experience.
