Matt Oliver
Matt Oliver is a Landscape photographer working mainly in the stunning Peak District. Working in this diverse environment he uses the shape, form and textures of the land, and is always searching for that elusive dramatic light.
He spends many hours visiting and re-visiting locations; exploring the mountains, woodlands, and coastlines to photograph the ever changing light through the seasons; working to bring to life the land and sea around him, trying to convey the emotion and feeling of the scene in each photograph.
“The experience of being outdoors in the natural environment plays a key role for my work as a landscape photographer. The sounds, smells and feelings are all elements I want to convey in my images. I want the viewer to feel like they were stood with me at the exact moment I clicked the shutter.”
Matt’s work has been recognised across various printed media, writing articles for several magazines. His images have been highly commended and printed in the awards book of The Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2018.
