What we did
Franklin Ellis approached Elegant Clutter to design a bedroom artwork collection for Hotel Indigo, Chester. Valuing our creative approach they then asked us to work on the rest of the hotel’s interior, alongside InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
We collaborated closely every step of the way with Franklin Ellis, IHG and the hotel owner. Our project managers quickly became an extension to the client’s team – rising to all challenges and coming up with the best creative solutions.
Like all of our projects, we began with thorough research before settling on the final artwork narratives. Inspired by horseracing, Lewis Carroll’s Cheshire Cat, the Eastgate Clock and Chester Zoo, every room tells a story.
From the bespoke plates and quirky accessories, to the artwork on the lift doors – around every corner is something surprising. Our artists added the final touch by painting each individual headboard by hand.
