What we did
Elegant Clutter was commissioned to create the artwork for Marriott Hotel Maida Vale, close to the famous Abbey Road Studios.
Working with 33 Interiors, we developed a scheme to celebrate the recording studios’ rich history. Along with art inspired by those who recorded there, an abstract contemporary interpretation of music gives it the 70’s retro feel.
Standout pieces include a ‘wall of fame’ featuring famous faces, as well as large, bespoke 3D artworks, inspired by sound. Elegant Clutter worked with a rich variety of materials to create added depth and interest.
Perhaps the most distinctive feature is the wall sculpture by the reception desk. Featuring several bronzed domes, surrounded by a warm halo of light, it provides the perfect welcoming touch.
