What we did
Elegant Clutter’s long-standing partnership with Pizza Express has involved supplying art for nearly 200 restaurants, some as far away as Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Typically, the art played with the local story of each restaurant creating schemes such as that for Leamington Spa, home of the world’s first lawn tennis court. Pieces include a mirrored tennis racquet installation and hand drawn sketches inspired by the rules and geometry of tennis.
A recent brand reinvention for the group has led to a new approach. Whilst the client still wants both framed and 3D art, the new brief was for a collection of art that celebrates Pizza Express’ 1960’s boho Soho roots.
Our team distilled the fascinating history of Pizza Express into original art representing its creator, Peter Boizot, who first introduced pizza to the UK, his artistic friends and the lively social scene they engendered. The result is a unique collection of art suitable for all types of décor.
Whether they prefer a classic American Hot or the ambitious Veneziana, we endeavor to provide restaurant art to suite the tastes of the most discerning diner.
